Being an instructional coach is another career you can undertake in K-12 education. Your roles, in this case, will be to help teachers refine instructional practices so that they can enhance academic growth.

    Another job you can take is being a data manager. All the data points in schools have to be organized and managed in a systematic manner. Grades, degree requirements and assessments have to be properly managed. When you are a data manager, you will have to make sure that data gathered will be properly analyzed and changes needed will be implemented in real-time. By using data-driven analysis, it is easy for data managers to come up with strategies that are more effective in schools. Another career path you can undertake is being a manager of talent acquisition. The staff you hire in school should always be highly qualified. When you take this role, you will be in charge of hiring personnel. You will choose them based on the mission and vision of the school.

    Another role you can take in k-12 education is being the director of school transformation. You will be ensuring that you will be improving student success and the academic culture of the school. You will be working directly with principals, teachers, and community members. You will be determining what is working best, what is not and what needs to be changed. Another job you can take in K-12 education is becoming a family engagement manager. If there are school events and related community outreach activities, you will be in charge of encouraging family participation. You will strategize and create initiatives that will connect families to individual student success.
